Design Philosophy
The design applies asymmetric balance, intentionally creating unequal visual weight. Metathesis shifts established elements to new positions. This approach generates a dynamic tension, prompting new ways to perceive the room. It challenges static order without sacrificing stability.
Spatial Narrative
The eye first lands on the pivoting wall panel, then follows the off-center pendant light. Movement is guided by the non-linear sofa, creating an indirect flow through the living area. You settle into distinct seating clusters, each offering a unique vantage point.
Light Study
Morning sun streams through expansive windows, highlighting the plaster's deep texture. In the evening, indirect linear LEDs softly define ceiling details. The off-center pendant casts a focused glow over the main seating.
