Design Philosophy
This space uses Autobiographical Design to root every object in personal history. A Curio Aesthetic guides the display of collected fragments. Juxtaposition of Eras brings together pieces from different periods. This layering creates a sense of intimate discovery.
Spatial Narrative
The eye first moves to the integrated display cabinet, filled with unique artifacts. You walk towards the substantial dining table, anchored by a patterned rug. You settle into varied upholstered seating, ready to discover a new detail.
Light Study
Morning light streams broadly from the large window, illuminating the layered textures of the rug. In the evening, sculptural lighting fixtures cast warm, focused pools of light. These fixtures highlight specific collected objects.
Living Vignette
A hand traces the worn grain of the reclaimed wood dining table. The quiet turning of pages in an armchair under a floor lamp.
