Dining Room • 4048 Farmouth Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027
The dining table rotates off-center, aligning with a newly placed sculptural console. This monumental console table sits significantly off-center on the longest wall. An oversized pendant light hangs to one side, not over the table's middle.
A tall, dark cabinet anchors one corner, asserting verticality. Art pieces cluster on a wall, weighted to one side. This room challenges conventional balance, creating a deliberate visual tension.

Design Philosophy
This design applies Deliberate Imbalance, creating an active, engaging space. Elements are positioned off-center, challenging traditional symmetry. The Sculpted Presence framework adds weighty, intentional forms. This generates purposeful tension and prompts internal conversation.
Spatial Narrative
Your eye first registers the large, off-center console table. It then tracks to the angled dining table and the asymmetrically arranged art. This movement creates an active visual circuit across the room.
Light Study
Morning light floods through the large sliding doors, brightening the entire space. The oversized pendant then casts a focused, warm glow over the dining table in the evening. This draws attention to the interior elements rather than the outside view.
Living Vignette
A plate rests off-center on the dining table, mirroring the room's arrangement. Someone reaches for a water glass, the aged brass pendant reflecting in its surface.
Material Palette
Dark stained oak: Feels weighty and grounded, developing a richer tone over time.
Aged brass: Offers a warm, authoritative feel and develops a distinct patina with age.
Textured wallpaper: Provides a subtle, irregular pattern, adding quiet depth to the wall surface.
