Design Philosophy
This design uses soft textiles to create defined areas within a large room. Draped canopies introduce intimacy and warmth overhead. Fabric room dividers and woven screens define paths and control views. Upholstered walls, represented by the wall hanging, also contribute to acoustic comfort.
Spatial Narrative
The eye first moves to the draped linen canopy, defining the central seating. Woven screens subtly guide you around the arrangement. You settle into the reupholstered sofa, enclosed in its intimate zone.
Light Study
Morning sun filters softly through sheer silk panels, casting diffuse light across the room. In the evening, integrated LED strips within the canopy create a focused, warm glow over the seating. Floor lamps add pockets of soft, low-level light.
Living Vignette
A book lies open on the low table, a page turned down. You watch city lights appear as dusk settles outside.
