The existing mirror wall is removed. A single, frameless mirror sits off-center above one sink. The remaining wall expanse stays unadorned. Dual sinks consolidate into one long trough. This form implies two users without explicit duplication.
One wall features deep, textured panels. Other walls remain starkly plain. A light-toned floating vanity supports the trough sink. Polished concrete floors create a monolithic base. Brushed stainless steel hardware finishes the space.
This room sculpts space through deliberate omission.
Design Philosophy
This design creates deliberate tension. It employs Deconstructive Minimalism to remove unnecessary elements. Intentional Voids emphasize what remains. The space highlights sculptural forms and strategic absence.
Spatial Narrative
The eye goes first to the off-center mirror. It then moves to the expansive, unadorned wall beside it. The deliberate absences define movement through the space.
Light Study
Morning light from an unseen source illuminates the 'silent' wall. A linear LED strip provides direct task light above the mirror. Evening light emphasizes contrast between illuminated forms and shadowed voids.
Living Vignette
Water flows into the long trough sink. A hand reaches for a linen-blend towel from the floating unit.
Material Palette
Raw Concrete Panels: These panels feel cool and deeply textured, gaining character with age.
Smooth Plaster Walls: The plaster walls offer a cool, seamless surface that develops a subtle patina over time.
Bleached Wood Vanity: The wood feels light and smooth, lightening slightly with exposure to light.
Polished Concrete Floor: This floor feels cool and monolithic, its surface reflecting light softly as it wears.
