Weller Street, Southwark Kitchen — Veridian Depth design direction

Immersive Green Kitchen. Layered Textures.

Kitchen • Weller Street, Southwark, London, UK
Walls and ceiling wear a gradient of deep greens. High-gloss emerald cabinets reflect the light. A glossy forest green tile backsplash covers the cooking wall. Dark green quartzite provides solid work surfaces. Deep teal velvet seating adds a soft counterpoint. LED lighting casts a spectrum of greens. Exposed brick and natural wood ground the chromatic depth. The room feels intensely colored and textural.
This room builds a deep green world through layered texture.
Design Philosophy
This design creates a deep, all-encompassing green experience. The "Monochromatic immersion" framework layers green tones across all surfaces. "Textured tonal fields" introduce variation through material finishes. The space achieves chromatic depth through these strategic layers.
Spatial Narrative
Your eye first falls on the glossy, floor-to-ceiling tile backsplash. You move along the reflective emerald cabinets towards the cooking area. You settle onto the deep teal velvet seating, enveloped by green walls.
Light Study
Morning light filters in, gently highlighting the cabinet gloss. It softens the deep greens, revealing subtle tonal shifts on the walls. In the evening, LED strips glow, casting a multi-layered green luminescence across the room.
Living Vignette
A person slices limes on the cool quartzite counter. The knife reflects a flash of emerald from the cabinet fronts.
Material Palette
High-gloss emerald green lacquer: This finish feels smooth and reflects light, maintaining its vibrant sheen over time. Glossy forest green ceramic tile: This durable tile feels cool and smooth, holding its reflective luster and resisting stains for decades.
