This design employs Contrasting Volumes to define distinct spatial experiences. It creates Explicit Choices, alternating between areas of dramatic enclosure and expansive openness. Each zone offers an alternative way to inhabit the room. This delivers a dynamic ebb and flow.
Spatial Narrative
Your eye first meets the low, wide archway, signaling a shift in space. You walk past the freestanding bookshelf, choosing between a narrow, compressed path or a wider route. You then settle onto the deep sofa or perch on a transparent chair, experiencing contrasting states of being.
Light Study
Morning sun illuminates the high-gloss white wall, expanding the room with natural brilliance. In the evening, a focused drum pendant creates an intimate warm circle over the main seating area. Perimeter LED strips cast a cool, wide ambient glow, washing the walls for overall visibility.
Living Vignette
